Tech : Powering your Dymo LetraTag LT100H Label Maker

The Dymo LetraTag LT100H Label Maker is a very useful label tool to have around the home or office. It prints on 1/2" wide label tape which is available in a variety of colors. The LetraTag LT100H is powered by standard batteries or an optional AC power adapter. To save power, the label maker will automatically turn off after two minutes of inactivity regardless of which power source you are using.

Using Batteries in your LetraTag label maker
The LetraTag LT100H label maker uses four high-capacity AA alkaline batteries. Most AA batteries will suffice, but using higher capacity/performance batteries will give you better results. To insert the batteries:
- Remove the battery compartment cover. See Figure 2
- Insert the batteries following the polarity markings (+ and –).
- Replace the cover.

Note: it is recommended that you remove the batteries if the label maker will not be used for a long period of time.

Using the Optional Power Adapter
An optional 9 Volt, 1.5A power adapter (Dymo 40077 AC Adapter) can also be used to power the label maker. Connecting the AC adapter to the label maker disconnects the batteries as a power source. To connect the power adapter:
- Plug the power adapter into the power connector on the top of the label maker.
- Plug the other end of the power adapter into a power outlet

Note: Make sure the label maker power is turned off before you disconnect the power adapter from the main power source. Otherwise, your most recent memory settings will be lost.
