Tip : Dymo Blood Sample Vial Labels

(Updated : 9/19/2019)

Printing a label for a Blood sample vial is quite simple. Most Laboratories already use software that have in-built support for barcode / label printers such as Dymo LabelWriter printers, and printing labels from these applications can takes just a few mouse clicks.

If you don't already have an application with in-built support for a Dymo LabelWriter, printing vial labels, even with barcodes, is just as simple using Dymo's free DLS software. With a LabelWriter you can print various label sizes. All you do is create the template once (takes less than a minute) then each time you need a label you change the variable data (i.e. date, name, gender, barcode).

The sample on this page uses the image depicted uses the Dymo 30336 / Labelcity 123500 label which measures 1" x 2-1/8". Following are a few other similar Dymo LabelWriter label sizes that would fit the blood sample vial :

· Dymo 30334 / Labelcity 121000 labels : 2-1/4" x 1-1/4"
· Dymo 30330 / Labelcity 120500 labels : 3/4" x 2"

The label sizes listed above use what we call a permanent adhesive. What this mean is that even though they can be peeled off the blood sample vial, they will leave behind some glue/residue. In cases where a totally removable label is required, i.e. that won"t leave behind any residue when peeled off, you could opt for the following removable labels (which don't;eave behind glue residue) :

· Dymo 30334 / Labelcity 121000 Removable labels : 2-1/4" x 1-1/4"
· Dymo 30330 / Labelcity 120500 Removable labels : 3/4" x 2"

Blood sample labels are easy to print. You can create labels in your own Lab software or using Dymo's FREE software which comes with your Dymo LabelWriter. Either way you get professional labels that can contain any combination of text and barcodes.
