Tip : What is the Dymo LabelWriter 450 good for?

The Dymo LabelWriter 450 is the most popular label printer we sell. Admittedly it is the entry-level LabelWriter, but it is by no means entry-level in terms of speed and quality of output. In fact, it is much faster than most competitive offerings and has industry-leading print quality.... 600x300dpi.

The LabelWriter 450 is a label printer that prints on pre-cut / die-cut labels that come in varying length rolls. There are a number of different label sizes, ranging from small 1/2" x 1/2" labels right up to 2-5/16" x 7-1/2". Most of the label sizes are square or rectangular with rounded corners, but there are also some different shapes such as circles (for CD/DVD's) and speciality retail / price tag shapes.

So what is the Dymo LabelWriter 450 good for?
Lot's. Seriously, it is a very versatile printer. The most popular use for the LW450 is for addressing envelopes and packages. With Dymo's free DLS labelling software, doing this is a breeze. You can even print from your favorite Windows or Mac applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Mac Contacts.

In addition to printing address and shipping labels, you can use it for anything from name badges, file folder labels, Jewelry labels and even appointment cards. Barcoding is another excellent use for this label printer. Because it has such high resolution output, it is a great labeller for generating large and small barcodes. Furthermore, the Dymo labelling software that ships free with the printer has built-in barcode making abilities, enabling you to print single and multiple barcodes or even incrementally numbered ones.
